CSAE Policy
Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation — our zero-tolerance commitment to child safety.
Last updated: 1 May 2025
AsiaFlare has a strict, absolute zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). The safety of children is non-negotiable. This policy outlines our commitment, our detection and reporting obligations, and the actions we take when violations occur.
1. Our commitment
AsiaFlare is an adult platform exclusively for users aged 18 and over. We are committed to:
- Preventing minors from accessing the platform.
- Detecting, removing and reporting any Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or exploitative content.
- Cooperating fully with law enforcement and regulatory authorities.
- Continuously improving our safeguards and detection capabilities.
- Training our Trust and Safety team to identify and respond to CSAE.
2. Prohibited content and behaviour
The following are strictly prohibited on AsiaFlare and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities:
- Any sexual content, imagery or material involving minors (under 18 years of age).
- Grooming behaviours — attempts to build trust with a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
- Soliciting minors for sexual purposes.
- Sharing, distributing or linking to CSAM in any form.
- Using the platform to facilitate trafficking or exploitation of any person, particularly minors.
- Impersonating a minor or using a fake profile to target minors.
3. Age verification and access controls
We implement multiple measures to prevent minors from accessing AsiaFlare:
- Age declaration at registration: all users must confirm they are 18 or over during sign-up.
- Age verification prompts: we use date-of-birth entry and may request additional verification where required by local law or platform risk assessment.
- Profile review: our Trust and Safety team reviews flagged profiles and may request photo verification.
- Community reporting: users can report any profile they suspect belongs to a minor. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
4. Detection and monitoring
AsiaFlare employs the following mechanisms to detect CSAE on the platform:
- PhotoDNA and hash-matching technology: uploaded images are scanned against known CSAM databases maintained by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other authorised bodies.
- AI-based content moderation: automated systems flag potentially exploitative text and imagery for human review.
- Human review team: a dedicated Trust and Safety team reviews flagged content 24/7.
- User reports: in-app reporting tools allow any user to flag suspicious content or behaviour instantly.
5. Reporting obligations
Where we identify CSAM or credible CSAE activity on the platform, we are legally obligated to — and will — report it to:
- The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline (as required under US law for electronic service providers).
- Local law enforcement authorities in the relevant jurisdiction.
- The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and equivalent bodies in applicable regions.
We will cooperate fully with any investigation and preserve evidence as required by law.
6. Account action
Any user found to have posted, shared or solicited CSAE content will:
- Have their account immediately and permanently suspended.
- Be reported to law enforcement and NCMEC.
- Be permanently banned from creating any future account on AsiaFlare or any affiliated service.
We do not offer warnings or second chances for CSAE violations. These actions are irreversible.
7. How to report
If you encounter any content, profile or behaviour that may involve the exploitation of a minor:
- In the app: tap the three-dot menu on any profile or message and select “Report”. Choose “Minor / CSAE” as the reason.
- By email: send details to hello@asiaflareapp.com with the subject line “CSAE Report”.
- Emergency: if a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement immediately.
- NCMEC CyberTipline: missingkids.org/cybertipline
- IWF (Internet Watch Foundation): iwf.org.uk/report
All CSAE reports are treated as the highest priority and reviewed within 1 hour of receipt.
8. Policy review
This policy is reviewed and updated at least annually, or whenever significant changes to our technology, legal obligations, or platform risk profile require it. Questions can be directed to hello@asiaflareapp.com.
