AsiaFlare (“we”, “our” or “us”) operates the AsiaFlare mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect information about you when you use our Service. By using AsiaFlare you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
When you create an account and use AsiaFlare, we collect information you give us directly, including:
- Account information: name, email address, date of birth, gender, and password.
- Profile information: photos, bio, height, body type, relationship intentions, nationality, and any other details you choose to share.
- Communications: messages, images and other content you send through the in-app chat.
- Payment information: if you subscribe to premium features, payment details are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
- Support communications: information you share when you contact us for help.
Information collected automatically
- Location data: with your permission, we collect precise GPS location to power the Near feature and show relevant matches. You may disable location access in your device settings, though some features will be unavailable.
- Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address and mobile network information.
- Usage data: features used, pages viewed, actions taken (likes, matches, messages sent), session duration and crash reports.
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies and analytics SDKs to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate and improve the Service.
- Create and maintain your account and profile.
- Show you relevant profiles based on your location, preferences and activity.
- Enable messaging and other social features.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Send you account-related notifications and, where you have opted in, marketing communications.
- Investigate reports, enforce our Community Guidelines and keep the platform safe.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to law enforcement requests.
- Analyse usage trends and conduct research to improve user experience.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
- With other users: your profile information and any content you post is visible to other users in accordance with your privacy settings.
- Service providers: we share data with trusted third parties who help us operate the Service (cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing, customer support). These providers are contractually required to protect your data.
- Legal compliance: we may disclose information when required by law, court order or government authority, or to protect the rights, property or safety of AsiaFlare, our users or others.
- Business transfers: if AsiaFlare is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your consent: we may share information in other ways if you explicitly consent.
4. Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or resolving disputes).
5. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request that inaccurate data be corrected.
- Deletion: request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection / restriction: object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

6. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information — including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's privacy
AsiaFlare is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18 we will immediately suspend their account and delete their data. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us at hello@asiaflareapp.com.
8. International transfers
AsiaFlare operates across multiple countries in Asia. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We take appropriate steps to ensure that transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that your data remains protected.
9. Third-party links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app and updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
